Hi, I’m Sheereen, the founder of Ree’s Rescues, an animal lover, rescue advocate, and dedicated dog trainer. My family and I moved here from Massachusetts seven years ago, and I bring years of hands-on experience working with dogs of all sizes, backgrounds, and temperaments. My passion for dog training began before I rescued my German Shepherd, Nico, at just eight weeks old. Raising him sparked a deep interest in canine behavior and learning theory, and since then I’ve spent countless hours studying how dogs think, communicate, and build confidence. My approach is rooted in positive reinforcement, structure, and consistency, with a strong focus on helping dogs feel safe and understood. I live with three dogs of my own—Nico (1.5 years), Nigel (Mini Bully, 1 year), and Naomi (Red Nose Pit Bull, 1 year)—all happy, balanced, and social. Working daily with my own dogs reinforces how important trust, patience, and clear communication are in every aspect of care. I understand how difficult it can be to trust someone with your pet. At Ree’s Rescues, I prioritize safety, transparency, and reliability, and I make it a point to keep pet parents informed and at ease. Whether your dog needs a calm, confident walk, enrichment and play, or a consistent routine while you’re away, they’ll be cared for with the same attention and compassion I give my own dogs. Outside of client visits, I’m usually watching training videos, exploring parks with my pack, or connecting with fellow dog lovers. I’m truly honored to care for your pets and look forward to working together to help them thrive 🐾

As I transition from Wag to Ree’s Rescues, our mission remains at the heart of everything we do: helping shelter dogs find better homes through proper training and thoughtful socialization. This shift allows us to fully dedicate ourselves to providing more personalized care while supporting dogs on their journey from shelter life to a loving, permanent home.
